Overview

We are seeking a Director of Marketing - ABM/Demand Generation and Strategy (remote) to join our growing team!

 

Position Overview

Under our Education division, the Community Brands K-12 suite of solutions empowers over 5,000 private and independent K-12 schools in the country to streamline their administrative processes and provide a world-class family experience from admission and enrollment to financial aid assessment, to tuition and student management.  

Community Brands Education division is seeking an experienced marketing leader with an exceptional track record of generating pipeline to support demand efforts through new customer acquisition and customer expansion by utilizing advanced marketing campaigns, programs, digital strategy, and Account-Based Marketing (ABM) techniques. This person, working with colleagues across marketing, sales, and success teams, will be focused on developing and leading the execution of a strategy to develop lead Generation and conversion strategies, developing pipeline generation strategies, overseeing reporting and analytics, and leading a high-performing team. 

The ideal candidate is equally passionate about account-based marketing, digital marketing, customer expansion, and driving measurable results as they are about guiding and managing campaign managers and helping them grow in their careers. This director role will bring expertise and excitement to work across digital marketing (including ABM, SEO, paid ads and paid search, digital advertising, content-driven demand programs and website conversion) and support field/events marketing (including tradeshows, customer events, and virtual events). 

This role is suited to passionate marketing leaders who again have broad B2B SaaS Marketing experience, a track record of creating and executing a wide-range of lead generating marketing strategies, thrive on strategic planning and pipeline generation, are metrics-focused, and actively embrace collaboration. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, this individual will have an exciting opportunity to dive in from day one and help shape our long-term brand and communication strategy with the market. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Position Summary

 

Serves as Director of a departmental function within a broader marketing function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.

 

A Day in the Life

  • Develop and deploy a broad range of Marketing programs - from ABM strategies to email marketing campaigns to content marketing, digital, thought leadership, social media, webinars, events, and advertising.  
  • Prior experience delivering, accelerating, and expanding sales pipeline through demand generation marketing, including command of ABM principles and techniques. 
  • Experience leading and coaching team members specializing in different areas or disciplines of demand generation, such as tradeshows/conferences, customer marketing, website management, paid ads/ paid search, and marketing operations. 
  • Proven quantitative and analytical skills, paired with strong experience in platforms and tools such as Salesforce and Google Analytics, to draw business insights from reports and dashboards. 
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to peers, executive team leaders, and Marketing team members to share learnings based on data and to define strategy and rally a team around key plays. 
  • Experience making decisions regarding marketing campaigns and channels and seeing them through, overseeing execution, scaling what works, and analyzing performance and outcomes. 
  • Experience leading changes to strategy that have led to achieving positive outcomes. 
  • Ability to motivate team members at all levels to undertake strategic or tactical adjustments based on data with proven execution and follow-through. 
  • Implement new-to-Community Brands marketing tactics, like formalized Account Based Marketing and intent signal solutions, to help drive growth within segmented locations. Our solutions' capabilities allow schools in a singular region to competitively thrive, so the ability to capitalize on this value prop will be a great opportunity for this role. 
  • Track record of rallying team members toward hitting goals and producing high engagement  
  • Lead, coach, and mentor team of direct reports including campaign managers, content marketers, graphic designer, and digital specialist by providing guidance on initiatives and tactics, feedback for growth and cultivate a positive work environment with a fully remote team. 
  • Experience building and overseeing marketing performance tracking. 
  • Reviews changes in the marketplace and recommends marketing strategy to the top management. 

We are looking for someone who brings

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field. 
  • Minimum 7+ years of B2B Marketing experience, ideally at a SaaS company. 
  • Experience with SaaS marketing is a must; K-12 industry knowledge is a plus. 
  • Experience with 6Sense or 6Sense certification is a plus. 
  • Experience successfully managing at least 3 direct reports. 
  • End-to-end campaign creation and execution experience. 
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality leads to Sales organizations through all levels of the marketing funnel, particularly on the demand gen side. 
  • Strong mix of strategic, project management, and analytical skillsets. 
  • Well versed in Salesforce, HubSpot (or similar Marketing automation tool),Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom Webinars (or similar webinar platform), Asana (or similar project management tool). 
  • Independence and proactiveness but ability to work well with a team.
