The Operations Human Resource Director is a highly engaged HR business partner for our manufacturing and distribution facilities in Concord, North Carolina. This position requires experience in operations management with the ability to interpret financial metrics and production metrics. The HR Director will partner with operations to build and maintain employee culture and act as a change agent related to any employee related initiatives. This position may manage a Human Resources team supporting a large manufacturing operation and will report to the EVP of Human Resources in Little Rock, and dotted line to the Vice President of Human Resources in Concord, North Carolina.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Manufacturing Support:
- Actively engages with the business/function to learn about key issues/challenges, works with business leaders on the plan of action to resolve and/or prioritize.
- Participates in the business discussions to proactively bring forward HR solutions to help drive the business and talent agenda forward.
- Responsible for managing projects designed to add value to the operations function.
- May facilitate employee training programs to various levels within the organization.
Talent Acquisition:
- Leads talent acquisition efforts for operations and partners with operations management to recruit, select and onboard new employees.
- Uses the company's applicant tracking system, ADP's Recruiting Management, to facilitate all talent acquisition efforts and to ensure compliance with all hiring practices, policies and OFCCP regulations.
Employee Relations:
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
- Partners with operation management on employee related initiatives to include but not limited to, performance management, onboarding, random substance abuse testing, etc.
- Provides guidance and assistance to employees and management regarding interpretation, compliance, and enforcement of Human Resource policies and procedures, state and federal laws including ADA, FMLA and Workers Compensation.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Provides day to day performance management guidance to operations leadership (coaching, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Direct interaction with operations employees and management on multiple shifts and at various locations to provide superior Human Resources support.
- Recommends policy and practice changes in support of continuous improvement.
- Communicates information and helps to answer benefit, payroll, and timekeeping related questions.
- Manages the administration of the employee performance management process for all hourly operations team members.
- Performs other functions as required.

Qualification
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Human Resources, Finance related field.
- Experience managing large scale projects related to implementation of new business models.
- Experience managing a department with more than 10 direct reports.
- Experience managing the employee relations and talent acquisition functions for a major division of an organization.
- Strong ability to help resolve employee issues and concerns.
- Extremely proficient in Microsoft office suite products.
