Department/Position Details/Duties:
- Plan, organize, and direct the activities and team members of the Human Resources department, including recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, employee benefits, health and workers compensation, wellness, performance development, and training.
- Plan and implement Human Resources initiatives in support of the organizational culture and strategic goals.
- Administer the organization's compensation practices, which include annual market studies, annual compensation adjustments, bonus plans and total reward statement.
- Provide leadership in complex investigations into team member concerns and employee relations issues, ensures the consistent interpretation and application of Human resource policies and ensure policies/procedures are in compliance with related state and federal laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement human resource policies and ensure consistent organization-wide compliance through development of standardized processes.
- Work closely with leaders to identify the training needs of employees and ensure development opportunities are provided.
- Ensure appropriate documentation and record keeping for regulatory and legal compliance.
- Consult with legal counsel as appropriate on human resource matters.
- Maintain knowledge and remain current on industry trends and changes in federal and state employment laws.

Position Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is required. Master's degree preferred.
- PHR or SPHR certification is strongly preferred.
Experience:
- Progressively responsible leadership experience (10+ years) with emphasis on human resource administration, performance development, employee relations, policy development and compliance, compensation and benefits, talent management, and development focused on data and metrics.
Physical:
- This position is classified as Sedentary Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of up to 1-pounds of force occasionally (up to 33% of the time) and /or a negligible amount of force frequently (33%-66% of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
