POSITION SUMMARY: The Human Resources Director will work with the CHRO to strategically plan HR initiatives that will benefit the company and encourage more efficient and beneficial work from employees. The Human Resource Director will be directly responsible for and lead the organization as it relates to compensation, benefits, Human Resource data analytics, policy and process development, and training.

Salary: $65,000-$70,000
REPORTS TO: Chief Human Resource Officer
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops and implements HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Plans and organizes all activities of Compensation, Benefits and Training.
  • Implements and annually updates compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys; analyzes compensation.
  • Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures;
  • Performs benefits oversight to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee the Human Resource Department/Payroll software utilization and effectiveness. This includes maintains LMS of organization and effective maintains and monitors Career Development Program.
  • Provides learning and training to all Leadership staff pertaining to HR, general leadership, and engagement.
  • Employee Champion - Ensures that the needs of the employees are a focus of all the activities conducted by the organization and the Human Resource Department.
  • Manages the Employee Recognition Program and partners with Leadership to identify and implement retention strategies. Identifies and addresses issues and trends in relation to turnover.
  • Develops and maintains affirmative action program; maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Assist the CHRO with maintaining records and reports to maintain regulatory compliance with 401k and other benefit reporting requirements.
  • Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars.
  • Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Assumes other duties as assigned by the CHRO.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or business administration preferred.
  • SHRM Certification preferred.
  • Extensive education and experience in general business, organizational operations, and Human Resources required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Physical Activity: Talking, Hearing, Repetitive motion.
  • Physical Requirements: Sedentary work. Involves sitting most of the time.
  • The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • Occasional travel is required for this position, and requires a valid driver's license.
