Controller

Our client LISTEN CENTER. located in Grand Forks, ND, has a career opportunity for a highly motivated, hands-on individual as their CONTROLLER. This position oversees, manages and maintains the accounting and finance processes and systems for a nonprofit focused on providing services to adults and children with disabilities.  In this role, the Controller will prepare financials, develop and manage the budget, and oversee the grant management process.  Additional responsibilities include working with a PEO to manage payroll and benefits, managing relationships with banks and external accountant and IT service providers and leading a team of accounting and administrative professionals.

We are looking for an accounting professional with a servant’s heart.  Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA licensure preferred, and 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Controller. The ideal candidate will possess grant accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting expertise, and working knowledge of QuickBooks.  Strong communication skills and computer skills are essential to this position. Nonprofit industry experience is a plus.
