Centennial is currently seeking a Director of Human Resources for a manufacturing company in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a vital member of the Executive Team, the Director of Human Resources will oversee employee development, retention, career progression, and succession planning to strengthen the company's workforce.
The ideal candidate will excel in goal achievement and inspire others to do the same. Key responsibilities include focusing on individual growth, fostering organizational development by nurturing team members' abilities, direct leadership involvement, strategic planning proficiency, commitment to achieving results, adherence to ethical standards, and possessing effective verbal and written communication skills.
Additionally, this individual will serve as a member of the advisory team to the President & CEO.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with management in driving and integrating the company mission, vision, and values throughout every facet of the organization
- Work closely with the members of the Executive Team to drive and execute continuous improvement projects and initiatives, as well as measuring the results
- Function as an advisor to the managers and supervisors on all issues regarding the people component of the business and on other matters that may arise
- Build and execute HR programs that support the company's core values
- Stay ahead of HR trends and communicate changes effectively to all levels of management
- Develop programs that enhance employee relations and engagement, building trust across the organization and in the HR function
- Ensure that all legal procedures are being followed regarding Federal and State employment laws (consult with and utilize attorneys as necessary)
- Create training and development plans for all levels of team members, including measuring and tracking results/ROI
- Develop and implement methodology for finding, attracting, and developing talent across the organization
- Oversee the team that provides the administrative functions for HR, payroll, benefit plan, and safety
- Coach and mentor leadership and HR teams
QUALIFICATIONS
- Background in manufacturing essential
- Bachelor's degree a prerequisite
- 5-7 years' tenure in HR leadership
- Proficiency in HR management encompassing legal compliance, compensation/benefits analysis, organizational roadmap development, and mentoring of HR team members
- Demonstrated capability to influence leadership and entire staff
