ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our team and play a pivotal role in optimizing our HR processes while ensuring a rewarding and positive experience for team members. This position will be responsible for overseeing HR administration, including payroll, benefits, compliance, workers compensation, talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, and training. Additionally, he/she will spearhead the continued implementation and ongoing optimization of the company’s fully-integrated HCM solution, UKG, ensuring it aligns with our evolving business needs and empowers our workforce.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
General HR
- Manage and oversee assigned aspects of HR administration, including payroll, benefits, workers compensation, talent acquisition, onboarding, offboarding, leaves of absence, performance management, and employee records management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement effective HR policies and procedures.
- Oversee the employee performance and disciplinary process.
- Conduct investigations to resolve employee relations issues.
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
UKG Implementation
- Lead the planning, execution, and ongoing optimization of the UKG implementation project.
- Partner with UKG consultants and internal stakeholders to define business requirements, configure modules, and develop data migration strategies.
- Champion user adoption and change management initiatives to ensure smooth transition and user satisfaction.
- Monitor progress, identify and address challenges, and ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
Training and Development
- Ensure the design and delivery of engaging training programs on company policies, procedures, and software systems.
- Identify and develop employee training needs.
- Create a system in partnership with managers to create individualized development plans for employees.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make continuous improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, preferably with an MBA or CHRP certification
- Minimum 7 years of experience in HR administration, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience managing and implementing HRIS/HCM systems, ideally UKG Pro
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Strong understanding of HR best practices and compliance requirements

REPORTING STRUCTURE
While the Director of HR will be a partner to colleagues throughout the company, the position will report to the President / Chief Operating Officer.
