- Responsible for the overall culture and performance of the food and beverage outlets and banquet operations of the Club.
- Monitors financial performance and budget for all department expenses associated with Member Dining, Beverage and Banquet operations.
- Respond to member needs, issues, and comments to ensure a positive experience.
- Assure the appropriate opening procedures are followed for the entire service team.
- Responsible for the recruitment, selection and training of team members in coordination with HR.
- Audits and evaluates the layout and programming of all beverage POS items and menus.
- Develops new menu concepts for food and beverage venues.
- Inspects to ensure that all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventive maintenance and operational standards are consistently met.
- Assures that all standard operating procedures for revenue and cost control are in place and consistently utilized, including the requisition and receiving of inventory.
- Helps plan and approves external and internal marketing and sales promotion activities for the food and beverage department.
- Ensures that all legal requirements are consistently adhered to including local laws pertaining to alcoholic beverages; assures that all applicable club policies and procedures are followed.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures for food and beverage and banquet departments.
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
- Must demonstrate appropriate analytical skills, attention to detail, organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Able to build and maintain positive working relationships with members, employees and vendors.
- Must be able to work in an indoor or outdoor food and beverage environment in a variety of weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift at least 45 pounds regularly, to store food and drink supplies.
- A degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Prior management experience in the private club or resort industry, with prior leadership roles in a la carte dining, beverage, and banquets.
- Two or more years of experience working with or managing a service team in a high volume upscale atmosphere.
