Who We Are:
The Atlanta Community Food Bank is working to end hunger in our community with the food, people, and big ideas needed so that no one worries about where their next meal is coming from. Since 1979, we’ve provided food for a growing network of nonprofit partners – including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters, and senior centers. We currently serve more than 700 partners in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

About the Role:
The Director, ePMO is responsible for various methods and practices around improving the overall Portfolio, Program, and Project Management (PPM) maturity across the organization while acting as PMO subject matter expert/advisor to the organization. To include tracking and reporting the conformance to plans and expectations of organizational initiatives. As part of this undertaking, the Director, ePMO will help define and build agile strategies and then work with all levels of the organization to affect positive and sustainable change.
As a natural servant leader, the Director, ePMO will develop and support a learning organization model through mentorship and coaching, encouraging training and continuous improvement throughout. This person embodies and enables an agile culture, fosters Communities of Practice, provides community engagement opportunities, and offers career development guidance.
Experience in metric-driven delivery, and lean methodologies, will be required to build the best-in-class delivery assurance model.
Through collaboration with peers, the Director, ePMO will drive the execution of the organization’s strategy. In addition, this role will be called to support the implementation and management of productivity tools to measurably improve performance. As a leader within ACFB, this role is not static and will integrate constantly changing dynamics into an evolving enterprise methodology and delivery practice. This person ensures that the work of the ePMO adds value, is relevant to the strategy of the organization, and meets the goals set for the ePMO by executive management.
What You’ll Do:
Job Functions
Facilitates among stakeholders and organizational leadership a consensus around the mission and vision of the ePMO organization to foster a project-management-oriented culture and mindset
Engages senior leadership and business partners to define the ePMO mission, goals, and operating model
Leads the development of ePMO roles, team configuration, and recruitment appropriate to deliver the agreed-upon goals and objectives
Leads the identification and implementation of project management processes, methods, tools, guidelines, and standards in order to establish a stable framework that supports all project teams and stakeholders to improve the probability of successful project delivery
Facilitates the agreed-upon process that develops plans and prioritization by leadership and governance
Defines, manages, and directs the needed end-to-end ePMO work effort, which includes leveraging best practices and techniques in identifying, quantifying, and tracking the realization of expected benefits defined in business cases
Provides ongoing coaching and mentoring to ePMO staff and project managers in ACFB in a matrix environment
Builds and maintains relationships with senior leadership and key ePMO stakeholders, and acts as a trusted advisor
Regularly reviews and evaluates opportunities to improve the project management best practices to achieve higher maturity in PPM
Act as a change agent to enable the successful implementation of tools and process conversions
Monitor and maintain software license and maintenance agreements with 3rd party vendors
Develop inputs for budgeting, and obtain approval as needed from higher authorities

What You’ll Need: Skills and Experience your resume should demonstrate:
Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams
Experience in a multi-application system environment
Demonstrated experience in portfolio management or large-scale projects
Demonstrated experience in managing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) conversion
Hands-on experience with virtual computing environments and cloud technologies
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to analyze, interpret and tell the business story of portfolio management
Demonstrated experience in full project management life cycle
Ability to communicate effectively with teams and clients in an energetic and fast-paced environment
Consistent documentation of processes, procedures, and communication
Ability to manage change and effectively pass information up, down, and across the organization for smoother execution
Even Better if you Have:
Certified ScrumMaster
Belted Six Sigma Practitioner
Experience with Agile methodologies
PMI-approved certification (PMP, RMP, SP) or equivalent
