Pathlabs is seeking a Director of FP&A to lead and develop the newly added Financial Planning and Analysis function. This position is a vital player-coach role, providing strategic financial insights, supporting decision-making processes, and helping the company achieve its financial goals. Reporting to the CFO, this role will build out best practices for evaluating financial results compared to plans or forecasts, provide analytical support for growth opportunities, champion optimal resource allocation, and use data to drive decisions. This includes participation and analytical support on cross-functional business teams and collaboration with management and various department heads to provide insights and recommendations that optimize financial performance and support the achievement of business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate closely with the CFO to steer company finances, ensuring budget alignment and performance optimization aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Manage the annual budgeting process and regular forecasting updates, ensuring they reflect business priorities and operational realities.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct deep financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Provide actionable insights to senior management to inform decision-making.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop and maintain financial models to monitor company performance against strategic goals. Highlight variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Reporting: Deliver accurate and timely financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, including variance analysis and commentary on financial performance.
- FP&A Tools and Process: Establish and define the FP&A processes and tools to improve financial visibility, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with department heads and teams across the company to gather inputs for financial models and forecasts. Provide expert FP&A support across cross-functional teams and projects.
- Networking: Expand relationships within your professional community and our industry to grow and enhance your network.

Qualifications
- Self-starter with a drive for excellence, the ability to build strong working relationships, and partner with leaders across the company to drive outcomes together.
- Excellent Planning and Analysis skills with the ability to analyze situations, apply proven problem-solving techniques, think strategically, and make sound decisions/recommendations that align with the company’s overall goals.
- Experience in a fast-paced growing company and/or demonstrated effectiveness in a small company/location where the role includes both strategic and hands-on responsibilities.
- Proficient in utilizing FP&A tools and software with demonstrated experience in successfully integrating and utilizing such tools for effective Financial Planning and Analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills.
- Track record of working seamlessly with accounting and co-development of optimal processes.
- A service-oriented individual that continually challenges the status quo and focuses on continuous improvement.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and deadlines in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Ability to lead, work independently, and work in a team environment.
- Creative - ability to recommend new processes, new data management/analysis methods, etc.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field.
- 7+ years of Financial Planning & analysis, finance or accounting experience.
- Digital Advertising or media industry experience is a plus.
