Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee and tea
- Take customer orders and process payments using a cash register
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop and work area
- Follow health and safety guidelines when handling food and beverages
- Assist with food preparation, such as assembling sandwiches or pastries
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations
Skills:
- Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required
- Basic math skills for cash handling and making change accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and coworkers
- Knowledge of retail math for inventory management and pricing calculations
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
