The Director of Finance will have a day-to-day impact on our operations, helping us to analyze, strategize and grow our financial position. As a member of Senior Management, the DOF will be comfortable in a leadership role that requires clear effective communication skills.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

1. Financial Strategy: Developing and implementing the resort’s financial strategies, goals, and objectives in alignment with the overall business strategy.

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Overseeing financial planning processes, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to ensure the resort’s financial health and optimal resource allocation.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensuring accurate and timely preparation and presentation of financial reports, statements, and analysis to stakeholders, management, and owners Safeguards the integrity and accuracy of all financial statements, reports, analysis, etc.
  • Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and managing financial risks, including liquidity, credit, market, and operational risks, while implementing appropriate risk mitigation strategies.

5. Financial Controls: Establishing and monitoring internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintain financial integrity. Leads staff in discussions of business forecasts.

6. Capital Management: Managing the resort’s capital structure, including evaluating investment opportunities, securing financing, and optimizing capital allocation for long term growth.

  • Performance Monitoring: Tracking and evaluating financial performance indicators, key metrics, and financial ratios to assess the resort’s operational efficiency, profitability, and return on investment. Directs monthly financial reporting, both departmentally & company wide.
  • Financial Decision Making: Providing financial insights, recommendations, and guidance to senior management and stakeholders on key business decisions, investments, and cost management strategies. Assists CEO and Owners in various strategic planning, risk management and asset allocation projects.

9. Team Leadership: Building and leading a high-performing finance team, overseeing their professional development, and fostering a collaborative and results-driving work environment. As a member of executive and senior management committees, assists the CEO, and Owners in a variety of confidential, special projects.

10. Stakeholder Relations: Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including owners, executives, auditors, and regulators, to ensure effective communication, transparency, and alignment of financial objectives.

SECONDARY DUTIES:

· Oversees property and casualty insurance, retirement and worker’s compensation insurance policies and annual renewals.

· Coordinates with independent C.P.A.’s in the timely and accurate administration of income tax, property tax and personal property taxes.

· Assists General Manager in pricing and selection of health insurance plans.

· Designs, implements, and refines bonus, compensation & retirement plans.

· Accomplishes additional projects and duties as requested by CEO and upper management.

· Furthers the Company’s presence and reputation through his involvement in business associations, including N.C.C.B.I.

· Attends and make reports at weekly Pine Needles and Mid Pines Resorts Staff meetings.

· Attends twice monthly Executive Committee meeting.

· Maintains good working relationships with all staff members.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting
  • Must have the ability to operate all accounting business machines and computers.
  • Must keep personal appearance to professional standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
