Come be a part of this journey!WE ARE LOOKING FOR A Director Finance - Technical AccountingSENIORITY LEVEL: Senior LevelFUNCTION: FINANCE - Finance & AccountingLOCATION: Winston-Salem, NCROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVESThe Director of Technical Accounting will report directly to and serve as a key partner for the Corporate Controller to manage the Company's Technical Accounting function, including leading research for determining required accounting for new transactions, determining policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with statutory (US GAAP) and Group (IFRS) reporting requirements. In addition, the Director of Technical Accounting will lead key components of the Company's annual impairment analysis of goodwill and intangibles, as well as lead the determination of required accounting for business combinations.

This role entails a complex Technical Accounting background and ability to work with internal and external constituents to evaluate the accounting for key issues impacting the business. This role has a heavy focus on proactively meeting reporting requirements with a continuous improvement mindset. The Director will set the tone for the quality, timeliness and accuracy of the work performed.Reports toVice President - Controller & TreasurerNumber of Direct Reports0Core RelationshipsInternal - Commercial and Operations Finance Partners, Commercial Planning Team, Corporate Accounting, Operations Company Accounting, SOX & Business Controls Teams, Group Statutory Reporting Team, Internal AuditExternal - Independent Valuation Specialists, External AuditorsGeographic ScopeDRBUTravel RequiredN/AWHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR Assist in preparation and review of reporting documents and footnote support schedules, tie-out support for reports and complete and review of disclosure checklists Lead annual impairment testing of goodwill and intangible assets for statutory (US GAAP) and Group (IFRS) reporting Lead in determination of required accounting for business combinations for statutory (US GAAP) and Group (IFRS) reporting Lead research and preparation of Technical Accounting memos Collaborate with the general accounting team to prepare corporate financial reporting for internal analysis and externally and with the legal team to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations Work closely with external auditors to manage the half year review and annual audit process over impairment testing, new transactions and business combinations Work closely with statutory accounting team in London to ensure compliance with Group accounting policies, review proposed accounting for transactions and ensure reporting requirements are completed on a timely basis. Participate in half year and annual financial close review meetings to ensure appropriate accounting of transactions and accurate external reporting for statutory (US GAAP) and Group (IFRS) reporting Participate in evaluation and implementation of new IFRS and FASB accounting pronouncements Participate in special projects and ad hoc requests, as neededCAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE? Do you have significant experience in evaluating accounting treatment for new transactions and business combinations? Do you have significant experience in performing annual impairment analyses of goodwill and intangible assets? Do you have experience in working in a global enterprise and interfacing with global business partners in other markets and a central reporting team? Do you have significant experience in researching and applying U.S.

GAAP and IFRS accounting requirements? Have you served as a primary contact with external auditors for significant audit areas? Have you served as a primary contact with independent valuation specialists? Do you have SOX experience, including the design and testing of key controls? Do you have financial statement preparation experience, including drafting disclosures? Do you have fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) experience?
