Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy
- Own, lead and drive all key Business Applications like ERP, CRM, QMS, application data management, and application integration through a team of knowledgeable direct reports.
- Develop, lead, direct, and manage enterprise applications operations and strategic planning, including business requirements, project planning, support, as well as organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
- Authorize and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, training, and ongoing support of Enterprise applications and related software based on department needs.
- Define and communicate project milestones, service level agreements, and resource allocation to CIO, department business leaders, support staff, and end users.
- Overarching responsibility and provides guidance for best practices framework (ex. ITIL, and Life Cycle Management) for the support and sustainability of all enterprise level software applications.
- Lead and manage recruitment, talent development, retention, and organization of the Applications staff in accordance with budgetary objectives and personnel policies.
- Stakeholder Management
- Manage strategic relationships between internal IT resources, business units, end users, vendors, and partner organizations.
- Manage financial budgets, resources, and relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and business partners.
- Review and benchmark the performance of supported applications to determine operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, ROI, and make recommendations for the applications improvement.
- Industry & Technology Awareness
- Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, Medical Device industry including current technologies. Advise, counsel, and educate GIS team and division leaders on their competitive or financial impact.
- Provide leadership and direction with regards to technology, vendors, business partners, policy, and standards.
- Direct research on potential applications solutions and technologies, implementations in support of new initiatives and opportunities, business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.

- Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science with extensive experience in supporting Finance, accounting, quality, Sales Ops, and business operations, or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in a technology services field resulting in direct management of IT units.
- Minimum of 6-8 years managing NetSuite ERP and Enterprise Applications team.
- 10+ years’ experience developing Business Applications and information technology solutions.
- Technical Expertise
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in ERP and CRM processes (primarily in NetSuite, Salesforce, LIMS), application integrations, complex data structures, and reporting systems.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience around the development and management of the software lifecycle for commercial and custom applications and data environments.
- Knowledge of computer program design, logic, development methodology, computer logic, block diagramming, and flow-charting.
- Prior experience working for a Medical device industry with good knowledge of FDA and SOX compliance (preferred).
- Management & Leadership
- Extensive experience in leading, managing, and developing the enterprise applications portfolio, ensuring interoperability and responsiveness to business needs.
- Ability to plan, direct, and review the activities of technical personnel involved in the design, development, and implementation of applications packaged programs in an ERP environment.
- Successful track record demonstrating the ability to work within a highly matrixed organization to lead and influence global change; multicultural experience to enable effective working across geographically dispersed teams in a multi-faceted, global company.
- Proven leadership skills surrounding change management and organization development.
- Strong discipline in financial management and budgets, highly effective critical decision-making skills both people and in the business, and a thought leader on change and continuous improvement.
