Our client, a leading real estate brokerage firm, is seeking a Director of Corporate Accounting. This position is open due to growth and will reports directly to Controller. Top Responsibilities
- Maintenance and ownership of service company ledgers with responsibility for month, quarter and year end close, budgeting, forecasting and reporting and analytical needs for internal management reporting
- Responsible for team of three and for recording of cash and debt entries associated with significant debt and investment portfolio
- Preparation and recording of entries related to debt portfolio with all required reconciliations and balance sheet and income statement analysis
- Maintenance and recording of Corporate expense allocations and billing and collections of fees
- Prepare analysis and adhere to organizational accounting policies
- Assist in consolidation, intercompany reconciliations and other company wide reporting
- Coordination with Property accounting team to facilitate and improve efficiency of monthly close process.
- Documentation and enhancement of controls
- Support management with audits, resolving discrepancies and preparing data for decision making process.
Experience Preferred
- Bachelors in Accounting or Finance - CPA required
- Real estate industry experience
- 6+ years of experience in Corporate Accounting department, public accounting experience a plus
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, knowledge of MRI and GAAP
- Strong understanding of multi-entity organizational structure, consolidations experience a plus
