Director Of Clinical Services

Qualifications: 

The Clinical Director for Forensic Mental Health Services will serve Adolescent males ages 10-17. The sought after Candidate for this position will have previous experience working with this population, have a master’s degree with major course work in clinical, counseling or school psychology, will be licensed as a mental health professional in the State of Texas. Out-of-state licensees must complete Texas licensure within one year of date of hire, have at least two years of Clinical supervisory experience.

Overview:  

Coordinates and oversees the training, consultation, and technical assistance of the agency’s approved Texas Model of Trauma Informed Corrections treatment program and specialized treatment programs to institutional staff. (10%)

Oversees the implementation and clinical integrity of the agency’s Texas Model of Trauma Informed Corrections treatment program and specialized treatment programs. (10%)

Evaluates and monitors youth at risk of suicide or in need of specialized treatment services; manages wait lists for youth requiring specialized treatment; and ensures youth progress through specialized treatment programs. (15%)

Reviews forensic evaluations and risk management recommendations in transition/transfer packets for clinical integrity. (5%)

Monitors outcomes for racial, ethnic, and/or gender disparities and takes action to address identified disparities.

Performs a variety of related duties, not listed, determined and assigned, as needed, by the supervisor.

Performs all duties in compliance with agency safety policies and procedures:

· Reports safety hazards and corrects hazards when possible.

· Completes required documentation in the event of an accident/injury within requested timeframes.
