Director of Clinical Services – Innova Grace


This position requires an individual who can fulfill the duties of a milieu therapist while
demonstrating the knowledge and confidence to lead a clinical team. 


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervises a team of 4 clinicians and 1 clinical case manager.
• Oversees all admissions and discharges.
• Assigns all cases to clinicians.

• Familiarity with residential programming.
• Completes weekly chart audits of active charts to recognize trends in order to provide
meaningful feedback and coaching to clinical team.
• Assists in correcting and reducing billing errors with the guidance of the Assistant
Regional Director of Clinical Services.
• The Director of Clinical Services - Innova Grace will maintain a caseload of clients and
lead weekly therapy groups.
• The Director of Clinical Services - Innova Grace will create, monitor, and update client
treatment plans in addition to overseeing counselor associate treatment plans.
• The Director of Clinical Services - Innova Grace will provide clinical documentation for
weekly utilization reviews and monitor counselor associate utilization reviews and their
timely completion.
• Provides weekly consultation, coaching and training to each member of the clinical
team.
• Oversees clinical intervention and documentation for facility.
• Assists in coordinating coverage for clinical shifts and clinical documentation.
• Coordinates with several branches of care to ensure effective care for clients.
• Works closely with the Regional Director of Clinical Services (RDCS) & Assistant Regional
Director of Clinical Services (ARDCS) to provide daily programming required at the
center.
• Consults with the ARDCS & RDCS in situations in which additional supervision, direction,
and information is needed.
• Conducts weekly clinical meetings and reviews client cases with clinical team.
• Maintains professional and solution focused demeanor.
• Maintains current licensure and certifications as required by the state.
• Prepared to support and assist in crisis intervention or other situations when deemed
appropriate.
• Provides training to clinical team, direct care staff and leadership team as needed.
• Provides on-call support for a week during their assigned rotation.
• Works as a team with direct care staff, medical providers, administrators, etc. to

maintain comprehensive care of clients.

• Assist in the revision and implementation of these policies as needed to promote therapeutic success of clients and

safety of the facility.

• Design treatment plans, evaluate the results for the client
and make changes to the plan as needed, oversee the client’s trajectory at multiple levels of
care and provide weekly clinical reports for insurance review.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have a minimum of an independent licensure in the mental health
    professional – LPC, LCSW, LMFT or equivalent.
    • Combination of certification/licensure and experience to demonstrate high level of
    competency in the field of recovery and co-occurring disorder treatment.
    • Must have experience with assessment and treatment of PTSD and issues related to
    complex trauma.
  • Must possess knowledge of current treatment models and evidence-based interventions
    for trauma related issues and be comfortable working with a variety of presentations.
    (PTSD, MDD, DID, personality disorders, somatic disorders).
    • Applicants will need to have training/experience in family therapy and group therapy
    (CPT, TF-CBT, ACT, or DBT a plus)
  • The applicant will need to be comfortable in using de-escalation/MI/redirection
    techniques to address negative behaviors which may arise in therapy and in daily
    interactions with clients (boundary pushing, staff splitting, power struggles,
    inappropriate displays of anger, etc.).
  • Experience in providing therapy at the residential/inpatient level a requirement
  • Lead other clinicians and team members in creating a safe, therapeutic environment for clients and staff.
  • The applicant will need to have knowledge of Joint Commission standards related to
    implementation and documentation of therapy interventions.
  • Technology experience: Strong working knowledge of electronic records management systems
