The position of Business Development Director is open at our California sites although can be managed remotely.
Director Business Development (Direct to Manufacturing)
Job Description:
Gerner8 is looking for a HUNTER, a driven and self-motivated individual for the role of Business Development Director. This is an individual contributor position. The key focus of the role is to engage with our customers C-Suite team and operations team to partner for manufacturing needs. We build relationships with our customers and seek to understand their new product strategy and areas where we can enhance their production, quality and supply chain teams in a collaborative process. The Business Development Director will identify new customers, qualify the opportunity, build the proposal with our internal team and present and win the manufacturing business with leaders in the medical and biotech industry.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Hunting for new customers and qualifying for our Gener8 owned manufacturing facilities in San Jose California and San Jose Costa Rica
- Product lines include instruments, modules, and consumables
- Manufacturing sites are San Jose and Carlsbad, CA and Costa Rica
- This is a Direct to Manufacturing role, although some customers may require NPI effort to provide product readiness to manufacture
- Developing a territory plan with a North and South America focus
- Quoting existing customer manufacturing product pricing
- Quoting new customers manufacturing product pricing
- Requesting and managing the customer forecasts
- Hosting customer status meetings as needed
Job Requirements:
- 10 years experience selling (manufacturing environment, medical devices, preferred)
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering is a must (advanced degree in Business is appreciated)
- Travel 25-50%%, as needed to customer or Gener8 sites
- Experience with Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office products
- Experience working with engineers on design projects
- Excellent drive to win
- Excellent communication skills
- Reports to VP of Sales
This position is located in the Western USA. This position is full time. Hybrid.
