Position: Admissions Director Position
We are seeking an exceptional and dynamic individual to join our team as the Admissions Director at our Union Beach, NJ facility.
The Admissions Director plays a pivotal role in our organization. In this capacity, you will engage with hospitals and various referral resources in a timely and discreet manner. Your responsibilities will include liaising with family members and the interdisciplinary team to ensure a smooth admissions process. Moreover, as the Director, you will collaborate closely with the marketing team to sustain and enhance our daily census across our facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Continuously assess operational areas impacting admissions and provide reports to administration and the corporate team, actively participating in the development of solutions.
- Support marketing outreach efforts by participating in functions/events to bolster our facilities' positive reputation, foster relationships, and bolster referral and admissions rates.
- Interpret and clarify visitor and guest privileges, restrictions, and resident care procedures as appropriate.
- Facilitate communication with hospitals to streamline admissions processes and prepare for patient needs upon admission.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with local hospitals, physicians, and community organizations to drive consistent admissions and maintain a favorable reputation for our facilities.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial verifications prior to patient admission, communicating effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
- Stay informed about regulations governing Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care reimbursement processes.
- Compile and present monthly statistics to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Admissions within a Skilled Nursing Facility.
- Proficiency in Medicare requirements and knowledge of insurance providers, including Medicare rules (PDPM), HMO rules (RUGS II & III), and Medicare prescription plans.
- Familiarity with EMR software systems.
- Thorough understanding of CMS guidelines, DOH regulations, and insurance policies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Preferred: Established relationships with hospitals in New Jersey.
