The Director - Investigations objective is to live the Microsoft Manager Principles of Model, Coach and Care. The Director - Investigations will deliver impact not only through their own work and actions but building on, and contributing to, the success of others. As the leader of a talented team of investigators who gather facts and investigate potential business misconduct and policy violations, The Director - Investigations will work in close collaboration with the Business and Regulatory Investigations team and the Regional Compliance Attorneys (Corporate, External & Legal Affairs - CELA). As a member of the ARC extended leadership team you will contribute to building the connective tissue across ARC and with our colleagues in Internal Audit and Controllership & Compliance.

Responsibilities
- Manage a high performing investigative team that focuses on the effective investigation of alleged business misconduct and policy violations.
- Proactively contribute to the development of global team strategies, processes, procedures, and priorities that will ensure that the team continuously improve.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and assist them in addressing fraud risk and improving operational effectiveness.
- Ensure that all relevant investigation-related information is recorded in a timely manner in the team’s case management system.
- Conduct or assist in investigations when required, contribute to investigation strategy.
- Develop and participate in education and awareness activities within the team.
- Contribute to the development, monitoring and improvement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the team’s effectiveness.

Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in Compliance, Finance, Data-Analytics, Investigations, or related field
- OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements
- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional/Preferred Qualifications
- Spanish Language Skills
- Knowledge and skills in conducting complex corporate internal investigations (financial and Anti-Corruption focus) in multinational technology companies.
- Experience in corporate or other internal investigations as well as experience in managing investigators or their work.
- Knowledge of finance/business accounting practices related to corporate internal investigations.
- Demonstrated collaboration with cross-functional teams fostering team engagement and supporting optimal program outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to improve business effectiveness using technology.
- Demonstrated experience in writing clear, concise reports.
- Demonstrated agility in working independently and effectively in a fast-changing environment, with evolving priorities and often with tight time constraints.
- Demonstrated experience in defining success measurements.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft systems and applications.
Investigations M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 - $266,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 - $292,200 per year.
