Director, Financial Planning & AnalysisAre you someone who is ready to make a big impact? We are looking for a Director of FP&A to support Sales & Marketing and their pursuit of operation excellence through optimal investment decisions. Your efforts will directly impact Rapid7's ability to grow and serve customers as we approach $1B in annual recurring revenue.About the TeamThe FP&A team is a close group of energetic individuals who work together to drive efficient decision making across the company. We partner with leadership to help them understand their organizations and invest resources so that they can best support the customer. Through these partnerships, FP&A also has a unique position within the broader Finance organization to facilitate decision-making across Accounting, Investor Relations and Business Intelligence.About the RoleThe person will be responsible for the Sales & Marketing business partnering. This entails working with Sales & Marketing leadership to help drive optimal return on investment. Additionally, this role is responsible for the annual and quarterly forecasting of Sales & Marketing expenses while working closely with the rest of the FP&A team in managing the overall company forecast.In this role, you will:Partner closely with leadership in Sales & Marketing to drive optimal budget decision makingLead the Sales & Marketing portion of the annual financial plan and quarterly forecastDevelop a deep understanding of Rapid7's commission plans to forecast cash and P&L expenses.Partner closely with Marketing leadership to measure return on investment.Work closely with the CFO and Strategic Finance on ad-hoc projects with opportunities for cross-functional team interactionsDevelop meaningful analyses that drive better business outcomes and aid in the continuous improvement of forecast accuracy.Foster an environment of continuous learning and developmentLead through change and support adoption of technology for improved processes, automated reporting and better business insightsThe skills you'll bring include:10+ years of experience in FP&A or similar role, preferably with experience in a publicly traded technology company.Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex financial information into a narrative that enables decision making.Collaborative attitude and the ability to establish solid partnerships and build consensus at all levels of the organization.Willingness to disrupt the status quo to create positive change and improve the impact of FP&A.Exceptional financial modeling skills with an ability to create sustainable and reliable models to enable better understanding and decision making.Critical thinking, problem solving and inquisitiveness coupled with a desire to continuously learn new skills.An ability to make decisions and move forward with limited information - an ability to "operate in the gray"Knowledge of Adaptive Planning, Workday, and data visualization tools such as Tableau a plusWe know that the best ideas and solutions come from multi-dimensional teams.
