Location Boston, MA
Knowledge and Experience:
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Finance with progressive increasing responsibilities
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, Master's degree preferred
• Accounting or Finance (CPA, CFA) designation preferred
• Experience managing a full P&L, Working capital and Operating Free Cash Flow
• Experience managing and mentoring a team
• Prior experience in implementation BI/Reporting and planning tool
• Transit related finance experience preferred (but not required)
• Ability to meet critical deadlines and achieve organizational objectives
• Strong work experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access
• Proficiency with ERPs and Reporting Tools; Microsoft Dynamics/Anaplan a plus
• High level of analytic, quantitative, and financial modelling skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills a must
• Takes responsibility and initiative to think and act independently and proactively
• Travel on operations site (around 30%)
Key Accountabilities:
• Build and maintain business partner mindset with operations, drive look ahead mindset
• Accountable for the financial management of the US Transit operations and ensure delivery of Financial goals (Revenue, EBIT, Working Capital and Free Cash Flow)
• Provide timely and accurate reporting and forecast, with insights from financial trends and operational KPIs/performance
• Drive and oversee month end close process in partnership with Controlling/Accounting Team. Continuously improve closing processes.
• Implement and drive performance (financial and operational) dialogue with Operations team (monthly business reviews process, dashboards and reporting to Operations, RVPs, COO).
• Conduct monthly reforecast of the operations, alert management and operations in case of deviation identified
• Recruit, develop, manage and coach assigned employees. Lead the US Transit FP&A Team.
• Collaborate with Controlling/Accounting Team for requests from external auditors and consultants
• Lead reporting and budget planning tool project implementation
• Responds to ad-hoc financial analysis, special projects and similar duties
• Ensure compliance and delegation of authority is applied and respected throughout the organization.
• Implement, drive, and monitor internal controls when necessary.
• Document financial processes, initiate process improvement and action plan to ensure key financial and contractual targets are being met.
