Paid Time Off:
AMSURG offers paid time off, 9 observed holidays, and paid family leave. You accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) each pay period and depending on your position and can earn a minimum of 20 days and up to 25 days per calendar year.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director, Corporate Initiatives will support the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with critical priorities and initiatives while reporting directly to the Vice President of Strategy and Transformation. The Director, Corporate Initiatives supports, coordinates, and facilitates the priorities of the CEO; including corporate governance, executive team engagement, Board of Directors engagement, and select presentations & meetings among other focus areas.
The ideal Director, Corporate Initiatives candidate is an innovative thinker, possesses a proactive attitude, has excellent attention to detail & organizational skills, and is results oriented. This individual has a broad familiarity with and experience in the healthcare industry.
Work Schedule: This role is offered on a fully remote basis allowing the Director, Corporate Initiatives to be based anywhere in the country. Requires ability to accommodate CST working hours with occasional need to support an EST schedule based on CEO travel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with CEO and Vice President of Strategy & Transformation to execute on select CEO priorities, as well as select critical business projects where appropriate.
- Assist and communicate with executive leaders in corporate governance, project management, and initiative implementation efforts.
- Foster coordination between Board of Directors (BoD) and AMSURG executives, including planning, logistics, and execution associated with supporting the BoD.
- Execute on the above with the appropriate degree of confidentiality and discretion.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Information Security Policies and ensure that AMSURG remains as secure as possible.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required:
- Seven or more years of experience in a business management, strategy, or related role.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year College or University; MBA or other graduate-level degree preferred.
- Experience in planning and leading major business initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and competing priorities.
- Experience providing hands-on support to transform ideas into reality and monitor their progress.
- Experience presenting complex ideas at an executive level.
- Experience completing special projects and initiatives with minimal oversight and support.
- Extensive experience leading large / executive meetings with the appropriate degree planning and coordination.
- Competent with software and systems required to effectively execute tasks, i.e., MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Smartsheets, etc.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner. Must be able to work well with others. Must be detail oriented and organized. Must be able to exercise good judgment and positively influence and lead others, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency. Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. Must pass a background check and drug screen.
