Direct Support Professional-Weekends

Our organization strongly believes that every individual with developmental disabilities deserves the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential. Currently, we are looking for an experienced staff to fill the role of Direct Support Professional. The right candidate will be responsible for providing compassionate care and assistance to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The shift available in the residential homes:

WEEKDAY SHIFT: Monday (4 pm) thru Friday (8 am):

64 hours total weekly: 24 of those hours are GUARANTEED overtime. This position is off Monday thru Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm daily as individuals are at day program.

• Assist the individuals in attaining and maintaining independent living to support their plan for life. Support and promote the rights of the individual and function as a participant in the community.
• Assists the program in the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the assigned home of adults with developmental, physical disabilities, autism, and those individuals who have other diagnoses.
• Performs a variety of tasks that range from helping an individual to complete his/her individual goals, ADL, which include toileting, preparing meals, bathing, medications, and supervision.
• Ensure proper documentation on the goals and objectives, social development, vocational, physical health, and behaviors of the individual desired outcomes and if applicable their Behavior Management Plan noting progress/lack of progress in all areas.
• Maintain an accurate and complete individual record, and prepare reports on individuals and activities, as required by law.
• Aid with hygiene issues such as toileting and changing diapers are required in order to help care for individuals as needed.
• Lifting might also be required in order to assist individuals that need positioning or to transfer in and out of a wheelchair.
• Assists with light cleaning and housework.
• Assist with daily living activities, including preparing meals and assisting with personal hygiene
• Develop a rapport with residents and cultivate a safe and supportive relationship
• Staff must have own vehicle as transportation of individual is a REQUIREMENT.

COVID-19 Considerations:

• To keep our Direct Support Professional's safe, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required while working in the residential homes. Direct Support Professionals will be provided with masks and gloves for use while on shift. Cleaners and sanitizers are also kept in the homes for use. As a safety precaution, a daily temperature check is completed by anyone who enters or resides in the home.

Floater PRN positions available as well.

Pay: $2,280.00 - $2,356.00 per month
