Wilson's Residential Homes is seeking to employ a few experienced DSP's to work with our loving clients in their home. This will include working 1:1 or 3:1 with DD/ID individuals and assisting them with ADL's such as personal hygiene, assist with eating, toileting, and money management skills, helping complete basic housekeeping tasks, transporting patients to appointments or other social outings and keeping clients safe from potential health hazards in their surrounding environment. They will be responsible for but not limited to; monitoring and notating health concerns with proper documentation via progress notes and washing laundry as needed. Also to maintain facility cleanliness and prepare meals. Complete documentation in accordance with all applicable standards. Schedule includes working some holidays, weekends and during inclement weather.
General Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with disabilities with their daily living activities
- Administer medication(s) according to guidelines
- Document all observations and daily progress notes before leaving your shift
- Communicate and work effectively with team members
- Assist individuals in performing their cleaning responsibilities
- Transport and accompany individuals to appointments, outings, and shopping
- Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned by your supervisor
- Complete counseling reports and other relevant paperwork accurately and on time
- Oversee physical care of each resident.
- Help to meet the goals and outcomes of any required service plan.
- Attend all staff meetings and special meetings as required by the Program Director.
- Abide by the policies and procedures as defined by the Program Director.
****You will be working with individuals who may exhibit challenging behaviors at random times so you will need excellent redirecting skills****
We are looking for someone who is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) , or who has worked with or specializes in working with non-verbal individuals (BONUS INCLUDED)
***Background checks, TB test and Fingerprints are required 30 days upon hiring***

Pay: $33,000.00 - $51,600.00 per year
