Direct Support Professional (Caregiver) - Paid Training

Position Summary: As a Direct Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing essential support and help to individuals with disabilities in residential facilities.

• 15 hours every 2 weeks = 3rd shift every Sunday (shift length 7.5 hours)
• 27 hours every 2 weeks = 2nd shift on weekends only (shift length 9 hours)
• 30 hours every 2 weeks = 2nd shift every Saturday and Sunday (shift length varies between 7 and 8 hours)

Lakeshore

• 24 hours every 2 weeks = 2nd shift on weekends (shift length 8 hours)

Euclid

• 41 hours every 2 weeks = 2nd shift throughout the weekday and every Saturday (shift length varies between 5, 7 and 8.5 hours)
• 35.5 hours every 2 weeks = 2nd shift on the weekends only (shift length varies between 8 and 9.75 hours)
• 16 hours every 2 weeks = 1st shift every other Saturday and Sunday (shift length 8 hours)

West 153rd

• 80 hours every 2 weeks = 1st shift throughout the weekday and every other weekend (shift length 8 hours)
• 26 hours every 2 weeks = 1st shift throughout the weekday and weekends (shift length 6.5 hours)
• 45 hours every 2 weeks = 2nd shift throughout the weekday and every weekend (shift length varies between 5.5 and 6 hours)

South Euclid

• 32.25 hours every 2 weeks = 2nd shift every Saturday and Sunday (shift length varies between 7, 8.25 and 9 hours)
• 25.5 hours every 2 weeks = 2nd shift every Saturday and Sunday (shift length varies between 5 and 8.5 hours)

Mayfield

• 24 hours every 2 weeks = 1st shift every Saturday and Sunday (shift length 6 hours)
• 16 hours every 2 weeks = 2nd shift every other Saturday and Sunday (shift length 8 hours)
• 46.50 hours every 2 weeks = Mixture of 2nd and 1st shift throughout the week and weekends (shift length varies between 6, 8 and 8.5 hours)

Cleveland

• 31.5 hours every 2 weeks = 2nd shift every Saturday and Sunday (shift length 7.5 hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Encourage the development of life skills, such as communication, problem-solving, and self-advocacy.
• Provide emotional and health-related services including administering medications, checking vitals to track health, and assisting with medical equipment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client care and support.
• Involve consumers in community and recreation-based activities.
• Assist clients with and or complete household chores, shopping, and transportation.
• Assist with providing basic personal care, grooming, and hygiene.

• High School Diploma, GED, or willingness to complete a GED program
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Compassionate, dedicated, and energetic demeanor
• Pass a background check that includes a BCI and FBI criminal history check
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to lift up to fifty pounds
• Must have a Valid Ohio Driver License with less than 6 points
