Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Implement individualized care plans and follow specific instructions from supervisors
- Support individuals in their home or community settings, promoting independence and inclusion
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure a safe and supportive environment
- Engage in social work activities, including facilitating social interactions and providing emotional support
- Provide childcare services as needed
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document accurately
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals
- Provide first aid and emergency care when necessary
Skills:
- Strong understanding of ADLs and experience assisting individuals with personal care needs
- Knowledge of home care practices and ability to provide a safe and comfortable living environment
- Familiarity with social work principles and the ability to build positive relationships with individuals and their families
- Understanding of resident rights and commitment to upholding them in all interactions
- Experience in childcare, including providing supervision, engaging in age-appropriate activities, and ensuring safety
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for transporting individuals to appointments or activities
- Proficiency in medication administration, including proper dosage calculations and documentation
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and recognize abnormal readings or symptoms
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
- Strong patient care skills, including compassion, empathy, and the ability to maintain confidentiality
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour
