As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll support the overall well-being of Anderson students and residents, help organize and manage activities, assist the Residence Manager and Shift Supervisor with the implementation of systems within the house in which you work, communicate and collaborate as needed with families/caregivers/teachers/therapists, maintain appropriate student or classroom-related documetation, and help residents foster the development of skills, greater independence, and expanded self-confidence using customized interventions as identified in student support and behavior plans.
We have homes located in Dutchess and Ulster Counties:
Dutchess: Clinton Corners, Hyde Park, Milan, Newburgh, Pine Plains, Poughkeepsie, Rhinebeck, Staatsburg, Stanfordville.
Ulster: Highland, Kingston, Marlboro, Marbletown, New Paltz, Saugerties, Stone Ridge, Ulster Park
Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.50 hourly; based on education, experience, and RBT certification.
Responsibilities:
- Participates in and takes our individuals to company sponsored outings (Baseball games, bowling, dinners at restaurants, movies, etc.)
- Supports good health and safety (food prep, toileting, hygiene, bathing, etc.)
- Provides Person-Centered Supports
- Demonstrates Professionalism
- Builds and Maintains positive relationships
- Supports our individuals growth
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- NYS Drivers License
- Must be 21yrs old or older
- Must be able to work 2nd shift and weekends
- Must complete orientation and maintain training or qualifications as they relate to Anderson Center for Autism
