Direct Support Professional

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals
• Assist with daily living activities
• Ensure that medications are administed
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
• Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
• Assist with meal planning and preparation
• Support individuals in participating in recreational activities and community outings
• Document and report any changes in behavior or health status to appropriate personnel
• Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience with Substance Use population
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with individuals with diverse needs
• Ability to transport individuals as needed, for the provision of services
• Understanding of resident rights and the importance of maintaining confidentiality
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment
• Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations
• Ability to successfully complete Central Registry and DBHDS background check

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Weekends as needed
