JOB SUMMARY: This is a full-time role within the Kansas City Chiefs Digital Media Department. Successful candidates for this role will contribute and execute best practices and brand standards across the Kansas City Chiefs primary digital and Social Media channels by following industry, league and international fan trends and knowledge of the NFL platform.
- Create and oversee day-to-day social content creation and publishing on Chiefs Social Media platforms (including, but not limited, to Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat).
- Create original content for social platforms including, but not limited to, creation/editing of photos, videos and graphics.
- Maintain and update a Social Media content calendar with multiple departmental initiatives.
- Monitor social platforms and engage in communication with fans in real time.
- Maintain current knowledge of and monitor best practices, trends and guidelines, including NFL policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Manager, Digital Media Manager, 65 Toss Power Trap Productions (video, written, podcasts), marketing, Fan Experience, photography, business development and the Creative Services Department to translate a variety of Chiefs Digital Media content and target to appropriate audiences.
- Keep up with industry trends and best-in-class use cases.
- Provide game coverage for all home and road games, including weekend hours and the potential for occasional travel.
- Make recommendations on paid social campaigns within the content department.
- Alignment with overall organizational and departmental revenue objectives and strategies.
- Ability to seek out new, innovative ways to build and expand our brand globally.

- Bachelor's degree in Communication, Digital Media, Journalism, Marketing or a related degree.
- Must be proficient using Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.)
- Outstanding writing skills and creativity is a must, including a clear understanding of the English language (spelling, grammar, and vocabulary).
- 1-2 years of experience in digital/Social Media, journalism, interactive marketing, creative services or related field.
- Vast knowledge of all Social Media platforms including, but not limited to, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat and Twitch.
- Previous experience managing paid social campaigns strongly preferred.
- Experience in capturing and editing platform-specific photo and video content using both cell phone and DSLR camera.
- Deep knowledge of the National Football League and passion for the Social Media industry.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays (when necessary).
- Must work well in a collaborative environment, be ready to learn new concepts and processes, and willing to travel when necessary.
