Reports to: Senior Marketing Manager

Pay: $15/hour

Schedule: Part-time, up to 25 hours per week

Overall Position Summary:

Our company is looking for motivated and talented students or professionals to join our marketing team as a part-time Digital Marketing Intern. The intern will work closely with our Senior Marketing Manager and eventually learn every role within the marketing department. This position requires some knowledge in creating engaging graphic design and video content, copywriting, and implementing branding strategies to increase reach and engagement. The candidate does not need experience but must understand social media and content marketing and the most optimal path to promote any client.

Hours:

The primary shift will be Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

This role offers a flexible hybrid work schedule with two days per week that must be completed in our Swarthmore Office, based on your convenience and organizational needs. The remaining 3 days can be worked remotely to maintain a healthy work-life balance and ensure productivity.

This position is temporary. The duration of employment will be determined upon hire, considering the candidates graduation date, student status, and/or prior experience.

Things the intern will learn:

Design Experience: The intern will develop their design skills using popular tools such as Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Genially. They will learn to create visually appealing graphics and marketing materials that align with corporate brand identities.

Social Growth Strategies: The intern will gain hands-on experience in boosting organic social media growth. They will learn effective tactics for increasing reach and engagement and building a strong online presence.

Video Editing: The intern will learn to work with video editing programs like Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, Clipchamp, and others. They will gain skills in editing footage, adding effects, animating graphics with artificial intelligence and creating engaging video content for content marketing.

Writing: The intern will learn to leverage SEO and AI to create compelling and engaging written content for blogs and various marketing campaigns.

Essential Duties

• Create graphic design for print and digital media pieces: including business cards, banners, brochures, email templates, presentations, newsletters, etc.
• Engage and attract followers across social media channels
• Edit video footage, add text, effects, and animations to create engaging video content and short-form video reels for use on social media
• Copywriting for blog and website pages

Required Experience

• Ideal candidate will possess a “can do” attitude with a “will do” work ethic and drive for success
• A desire to be hired as a full-time employee upon graduation or the end of the temporary employment period
• Desire to learn new skills
• Strong graphic design and branding skills
• Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation.
• Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills
• Comfort with designing short-form videos and video editing

Preferred Experience

• Currently enrolled in a BA with a major in Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field
• Any marketing certifications (Canva, Google, Hootsuite, Semrush, Adobe)
• Experience with video editing programs (Adobe Premier Pro, Clipchamp, Capcut, etc.)
• Experience with writing with Chat GPT
• Experience with project management platforms like Asana or Zoho suite
• Design experience in Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Genially
• Experience in boosting social growth
• Knowledge of SEO best practices
