Spurs Sports and Entertainment is seeking a talented Digital Experience Specialist who will be responsible for helping drive engaging and impactful Digital Experiences through the San Antonio Spurs team app. The role, under the guidance of the department’s team leader, will be focused on driving business impact by ensuring a great user experience for our fans in a rapidly changing digital landscape.
The candidate will own the development, maintenance, and optimization of Spurs Sports and Entertainment mobile experiences. The ideal candidate thrives in working cross-functionally with a diverse group of internal stakeholders, team sponsors, league contacts, vendors, and a variety of external audiences; independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload. They should have a deep understanding of evolving market trends and optimize existing experiences as business requirements and consumer behaviors change in the digital space.
Your primary responsibility will be to create great fan experiences across mobile platforms for Spurs fans, while driving business results.

- Manages the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of San Antonio Spurs mobile app, in partnership with our app developer (Raw Engineering), including new features, third-party integrations, and updates to improve efficiency and functionality.
- Partners with internal teams and external vendors to develop project outlines, implementation plans, and workback schedules to prioritize how we get to an end goal while delivering on time.
- Collaborates with internal and external partners to ideate, implement, and track digital initiatives
- Works alongside the Business Intelligence team to drive data utilization for reporting, forecasting, KPI tracking and storytelling purposes for both mobile app and web.

- Bachelor’s degree or relevant working experience.
- 2-4 years of experience supporting consumer-facing mobile applications and/or web sites
- Experience with CMSs (Contentstack or similar) and the ability to perform maintenance of digital platforms
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive roadmap and backlog for mobile app
- Oversees quality assurance testing for all mobile apps, features, and third-party integrations including mobile ordering and mobile ticketing
- Strong knowledge of online measurement strategies, tools, and technologies (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, MixPanel, etc)
- Experience using design applications like Illustrator and Photoshop, and building flow diagrams and wireframes in Figma or related software
- Experience developing best-in-class UX and UI design principles
- Utilize trends and knowledge of the competitive landscape to identify gaps in current products
- Understand evolving market trends, best practices, user needs, and technology innovations to develop, and grow our digital product portfolio
- Collaborate with Marketing team to optimize promotion of new experience or features
- Familiarity with and sensitivity to compliance with data privacy laws worldwide, including GDPR
- Must be able to work occasional flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Other duties as required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (not required):
- Experience in HTML, CSS, and other software languages used for web and mobile web development (i.e. HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)
- Experience with back-end development using of JSON, XML, APIs or similar
- Previous experience in sports or entertainment industries a plus
