Reporting to the senior manager of Marketing Communications, the Aeronautics Digital Marketing Specialist shapes and implements social/digital media strategy for Skunk Works® and Social Impact initiatives. Experienced in social and digital media, the Digital Marketing Specialist actively explores industry trends, and introduces innovative executions. The focus of this role is to elevate our Lockheed Martin storytelling efforts in how we create and deliver engaging digital content to target audiences. The Digital Marketing Specialist works with other team members to build integrated communications campaigns; aligns efforts to the business and Communications strategy, and tracks and reports metrics for campaigns.
Key Responsibilities

• Shape the digital content strategy and lead the development of powerful storytelling content for the Lockheed Martin global social channels and website
• Research industry trends for effective storytelling on Instagram, Facebook, X and LinkedIn to ensure best practices and ongoing education for the Marketing Communications team
• Collaborate closely with visual communicators to explore and adopt innovative ways to tell the Lockheed Martin story
• Lead Aeronautics LOB Mini-Teams for Skunk Works® and Social Impact to ensure proactive planning, message alignment and full engagement by the team in the content development process
• Write copy and manage social and digital content to ensure a consistent brand voice, message and conversation
• Collaborate with advertising and social/digital team members across Lockheed Martin’s three Business Areas, Enterprise Operations, Government Affairs and International to build integrated marketing communications campaigns in support of key business priorities
• Identify, track and build relationships with online communities, advocates and influencers
• Schedule, distribute, amplify, monitor, listen and analyze social media engagement using third party software tools such as Sprinklr and Cision
• Collaborate with program and executive communicators to build, produce and execute the social media elements of Aeronautics executive engagement plans

Local candidate could be required to come on site for various meetings.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or a related field
• Experience in social media or marketing
• Written communication and content development skills (samples will be requested)

Desired Skills:

• Experience leading team projects
• Ability to balance multiple business priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Effective verbal communication, interpersonal and organization skills
• Knowledge of Lockheed Martin and the aerospace industry

Ability to Work Remotely:

Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $67,000 - $126,100. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $58,200 - $111,600 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
