ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead current production cost reduction and new program sourcing for the assigned commodities, including issuing and analyzing RFQs. (40%)
- Process purchase orders and ensure that supplier is meeting delivery dates. (20%)
- Assist in developing and executing sourcing strategies and plans to leverage Our Client’s global buy and optimize total supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery, and launch). (5%)
- Lead, manage and execute data collection, validation, analysis, and negotiation activities for the assigned commodities. (10%)
- Assist in on going supplier assessment and performance review meetings, monitor effectiveness of strategy, and make changes. (10%)
- Participate in process improvements with the team to develop and implement best practices. (10%)
- Monitor supply markets, trends, and forecasts. (5%)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related or technical area.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Professional and possesses integrity.
- Ability to collect and analyze data.
- Willing to travel 20%
- Experience in the automotive industry & Quality Standards.
- Experience with cost analysis.
- Experience in negotiating and assessing suppliers.
- Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (preferred):
- Coordination, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Technical capability and manufacturing knowledge.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft.
- Familiarity purchasing raw materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.)
