The American Heart Association is looking for aDigital Developer to be a founding member of a new development team that will lead the core platform that drives the American Heart Association fundraising efforts in schools. This new platform will be developed using technologies such as Azure, PostgreSQL, TypeORM, NestJS, & React. This is a great opportunity to be from the start and help drive technology and architecture decisions as we design & build the fundraising platform of American Heart Association future.
This is an excellent opportunity for aDigital Developerto support our National Center office that is located in Dallas, TX. This role can be home based.

- Design, develop, deploy, support, & document new features as needed by our customers
- Write clean, easy to understand, and robust code
- Own one or more components of the overall solution and be the go-to resource for any issues with it
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, triaging, & guidance to internal teams
- Collaborate with the internal Business Management team to understand customer goals and translate them into architectural & application requirements
- Work with Operations & Senior Management to reduce operational costs & complexity, while increasing performance & scalability
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 1-3 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate in the job offered or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience with application or backend development using C#, C++, or Java, and be open to using C#
- 1+ years of experience in relational database development & SQL
- 1+ years of experience with modern project management methodologies, e.g. Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Kanban, etc.
- 1+ years of experience with web services standards and related technologies (e.g. HTTP, XML, REST, etc.)

- Experience with cloud providers such as Azure (e.g. Web Apps, Functions, Microservices, Data, Storage, & Networking)
- Experience with modern DevOps & project management tools such as VSTS & ADO
- Bonus points for any experience with service management, datacenter operations, security, &/or identity management solutions
The expected pay range will be $70,000 to $80,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
