The Data Science Innovation team is at the forefront of AI and ML at Ulta Beauty. YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:

• Design and develop autonomous programs that optimize marketing tactics and generate efficiencies across the organization.
• Develop a strong partnership and collaboration with the internal Ulta Beauty teams, performing as a team member who consults on how to attain the business goals by leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning.
• Select features, construct and enhance classifiers using machine learning techniques
• Solve business problems by leveraging advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning approaches
• Explain and present complex approaches in a concise manner to garner buy in from business partners
• Assess and understand the cost/benefit relationship of developing and deploying learned models based on business needs
• Ensure data integrity by leveraging proven methodologies, including data reconciliation, data integration and data audits.
Mentor less experienced team members on AI/machine learning methodology and techniques

ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

• Masters / PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or other quantitative field.
• 2+ years experience in artificial intelligence with a focus on machine learning and neural networks
• Demonstrated exceptional performance and career progression.
• Ability to work cross-functionally to understand business goals and communicate solutions that meet the business objectives.
• Strong base in OoP languages (Python, C++, etc), proficiency in relevant frameworks (scikit learn, TensorFlow, etc).
• Experience with cloud computing platforms preferred but not required (Google Cloud, Azure, and AWS).
• Hands-on experience building ML solutions from existing libraries.
• A passion for broadening your technical skills and diving into unknown problems.
• Travel may be required (team collaboration / conferences / vendor meetings).

: The pay range for this position is $98,000.00 - $166,300.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company's bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
