Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Dietary Manager to join our team. As a Certified Dietary Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall food service operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals to our residents. Duties:
- Manage the daily operations of the dietary department, including meal planning, food production, and kitchen management
- Ensure compliance with all dietary regulations and guidelines, including those related to food safety and sanitation
- Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of our residents
- Oversee the purchasing and inventory management of food and supplies
- Train and supervise dietary staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of meal service
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to dietary operations
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns in a prompt and professional manner
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in food service management
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Dietary Manager (CDM) is required
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and dietary guidelines
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on resident satisfaction
- Proficient in computer applications related to menu planning, inventory management, and record keeping
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
