We are the leading producer of soft-gel-based herbal formulas with products sold in over 100,000 doors, such as Vitamin Shoppe, Costco, Rite Aid, Walmart, CVS, Sprouts, Fresh Thyme, many e-commerce sites, and direct online.

Job Summary
The Quality Control Manager oversees the operational aspects of the Quality Control Department relating to the manufacture and distribution of products in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, current Good Manufacturing Practices, company policies and procedures and FDA requirements governing the manufacture of Dietary Supplement products.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Food Science or Engineering preferred
- Must have 3–6 years or more of Quality Management experience, in a manufacturing environment for Dietary Supplement products
- Experience in the Release of Products relating to product fail testing
- Experience in formula review and determine the overage of the active and/or main ingredient. re-checking the work done by R&D in the formula.
- Must have the ability to make final decisions, reject product release, and disagree with 3rd party lab results
- Experience in managing up to 3 or more
- Strong Knowledge of Quality Systems Design and Implementation
- Understands and can articulate the compliance and regulatory principles that underlie practices and guide projects
- Understanding and knowledge of Dietary SupplementcGMPs, 21 CFR part 111
- Demonstrated abilities to develop and supervise Quality Control personnel
- Must possess the ability to identify problems, trends, develop solutions, and implement a course of action
- Ability to assimilate information quickly
- Must have experience with document control
- Superior organization skills
- Must have previous final decision-making experience
- Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to prepare and deliver technical information relating to the Quality of the products to a variety of audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the inspection and release of incoming finished goods shipments. Monitor upcoming new and reformulated products and prepare the Quality Control Department for inspection of these products with the establishment of necessary product specifications
- Coordinate external testing laboratories to perform necessary analytical testing. Manage and track all testing and organize results for review
- Assist in the management of stability studies including creating stability protocols, place new and reformulated products on stability and perform technical review of stability test results
- Manage and direct the Material Review Board in the inspection and disposition of returned finished goods
- Manage Non-Conforming Reports and trend summary reports
- Manage the investigation of customer complaints and initiate CAPAs as needed
- Provide Quality management and oversight of finished product re-work and re-configuration performed by Operation personnel
- Collect and assemble critical information regarding quality issues and make final disposition decisions based on risk assessment
- Monitor and oversee the execution of international testing and release of finished goods
- Create and review SOPs, protocols, test plans, and reports
- Review product formulations for completeness and accuracy
- Manage the open purchase order quality review process ensuring formulas submitted to contract manufacturers with POs are reviewed for accuracy and compliance on an ongoing basis
- Manage new Quality projects and initiatives as necessary
