Salary Range: $26.8100 - $41.2500 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Development Specialist reports to the Vice President of Development. The Development Specialist is responsible for advancing the Hoag Hospital Foundation's mission through the planning, coordination, and implementation of assignments in collaboration with internal and external partners to achieve overall Foundation goals.
This includes providing administrative and logistical support to internal and external partners and managing the donor database. The role also involves significant organization, planning, attention to detail, timeline management and facilitating effective communication across team members.
The Development Specialist provides a wide variety of skilled logistical, administrative, clerical and database management duties, ensuring all priorities and functions run efficiently. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensures a high quality of service is provided to all staff, donors, volunteers and other external and internal stakeholders
- Serves in partnership with Foundation specialties to support frontline fundraising efforts
- Creates presentations in PowerPoint
- Leads and produces creative design in Canva
- Prepares correspondence, agendas and reports
- Manages donor database
- Leads small-scale events and coordination
- Assists in managing donor fund expenditures
- Assists in donor cultivation and stewardship opportunities
- Coordinates internal and external meetings for the development team
- Works collaboratively with Foundation teams to produce collateral
- Maintains a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum five years of executive administrative experience.
- Canva, PowerPoint and Excel knowledge
- Crescendo, PG Calc, PowerPoint and Excel Knowledge preferred
