Youth on Course (YOC) is a nationally recognized non-profit based in Monterey, CA serving more than 190,000 youth through subsidized rounds of golf, high school internships, caddie programs, and college scholarships. We are currently experiencing rapid growth and have a presence in all 50 states, Canada, and Australia. It is supported with nearly 2,000 golf course partners and more than 8,000 unique donors.
Position: Development Intern
Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Chief Development Officer
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Development Intern will assist and learn from the Development team about fundraising operations for a non profit. This position will support various fundraising programs and operations, particularly as it relates to data maintenance, stewardship, and donor research. This position will receive direct supervision and work collaboratively with the YOC Development staff.
This is an 11-month internship appointment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure accurate entry of all donor gifts and data in Salesforce.
Prepare all gift receipts and acknowledgment letters for Development staff to review and send out to donors.
Assist Development staff with implementation of stewardship strategy.
Regularly review Salesforce and perform regular donor data maintenance and clean up.
Research and screen prospective donor lists using confidential wealth screening software.
Generate fundraising and donor reports for members of the Development team as needed.
Assemble 100 Hole Hike materials and support administrative tasks for other national events.
Occasionally coordinate travel arrangements, accommodations, and itineraries for other team members.
Support safe work habits and a safe working environment at all times.
Other duties as assigned, including professional development.
