With more than 60 years of experience, we continue to expand its presence in domestic and international markets, providing reliable, energy-efficient, American-made ice solutions including ice machines, storage bins and water dispensers.
Responsibilities:
* Redesign products with new low GWP refrigerants and DOE mandated efficiency improvements.
* Participate and lead brainstorming events to identify ideas to reduce product costs, improve warranty costs, part number reduction and communization, design for manufacturing and assembly improvements, etc.
* Respond to technical questions regarding alternate parts.
* Lead projects from concept to production including test data analysis, ECO approvals, manufacturing pilot runs, field tests, agency testing and approvals, updating technical literature.
* Assures products meet applicable regulatory agency requirements.
* Confers with marketing to determine cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor"s degree in engineering.
* Entry level up to 4 years of Development Engineering experience.
* Ability to execute projects on time and within budget.
* Ability to work with cross functional teams.
* Project Management.
* 3D CAD modeling.
* Engineering drawing and specification creation.
* Working in Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
* Experience with agency compliance and certification (AHRI, UL, CSA, TUV, CE, NSF, Reach, WRAS, VA, etc.
* Knowledge of engineering tools and processes like DFMA, 8D problem solving, reliability planning and testing, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing/Toyota Production System (TPS), Minitab statistical software, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, planning and analysis of laboratory test data, etc.
* HVACR industry experience (preferred).
