Job Title: Senior Product Development Quality Engineer

Department: Quality Assurance

Reports To: Director of Quality and Assurance

FLSA Status:Exempt

Compensation Base Range:$115,000.00 - $133,000.00 Annually

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This position represents the quality function within Product Development. The right candidate will lead the Product Development team through various quality planning activities throughout the Product Development process, identify and mitigate risk at every phase of Product Development, and be responsible for production qualification and establishing production controls at suppliers. This senior position mentors and reviews output of the Product Development Quality team, develops process improvements, and implements tools as necessary.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead quality planning activities within Product Development
  • Mentor and review output of other Product Development Quality team members
  • Analyze and communicate existing product failures
  • Verify product requirements are quantified and measurable
  • Risk assessment and mitigation of design and manufacturing (dFMEA and pFMEA)
  • Variation management of design and manufacturing (minimize tolerance)
  • Verification and validation of design (test specifications, test execution, and analyze results)
  • Develop and analyze reliability test models
  • Define Production Qualification requirements (PQSW)
  • Ensure appropriate production controls at suppliers

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of Product Development, quality, manufacturing, or operational experience
  • Expert in structure problem solving and associated tools
  • Successful record of critical thinking
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Asian supply chain
  • ISO9001 auditor
  • Six Sigma Black Belt
