QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Experience in like field or nonprofit work
- Experience with database management programs. Preferred experience in Giveffect.
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Outlook for email and calendar management
- Higher level background with Microsoft Office Suite; particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Well-developed writing and editing skills
- High attention to detail proven through accuracy
- Highly-organized and efficient work practices (e.g. Seeks to proactively anticipate job related needs and to address them immediately.)
- Friendly and outgoing personality that communicates a positive attitude within and outside the workplace
- Flexible work schedule that will adjust for working nights and weekends as needed
- Ability to be reliable, responsible, timely and accountable
- Ability to follow instructions and stay on task to ensure the safety of animals, others and self

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Database and Gift Management
- Serve as the primary individual responsible for the Giveffect donor database
- Run and cleanse reports to fulfill mailing list requests and data reports
- Organize and maintain donor files (both electronic and physical) to ensure proper documentation
- Manage in-house gift entry process, including acknowledgement letters and reports
- Reconcile gifts and data with the Director of Finance & Facilities
Program Management: PAWS and Shelter Sponsorship
- Manage and increase the Shelter Sponsorship program through:
- Processing sponsor registrations, working with plaque vendor, tracking sponsorship expirations dates and contact donors for recommitment, as well as tracking and creating mailing stewardship pieces for current sponsors.
- Manage and increase the PAWS Monthly Giving Program, including but not limited to:
- Building mailings to recruit new members, running reports to ensure we follow up with PAWS members when their transaction fails, tracking and mailing stewardship packets.
Events
- Assist with annual Paws, Claws & Corks and Bark in the Dark events:
- Work with Events Coordinator on:
- Organize the silent auction and in-kind documentation for Paws, Claws & Corks
- Attend committee/sub-committee meetings, as necessary
- Oversee internal communication with sub committees
- Attend all major dates in regards to event
- Assist with maintaining event-related mailing lists, donor lists and sponsorship information
Other Responsibilities
- Provide support to donor Development & Communications Committee, as needed
- Provide financial report and other necessary information required for monthly board meetings to Director of Development & Marketing
- Provide support to fundraising appeal letters and thank you cards
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Development & Marketing to meet the needs of the organization

Physical Demands
- Work requires lifting and carrying animals and items that weigh up to 40 pounds. Will be assisted by other staff members with animals and items weighing over 40 pounds.
- Will be required to walk or stand for extended periods of time. Will frequently work in a bent position.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
