Responsibilities:
-Development. Contribute to strategies for prospective individual and corporate donors, research grant opportunities, and interesting ways to increase growth and opportunities
-Stewardship. Research prospects, engage with new and existing donors, and assist with the writing and editing of appeals, acknowledgments, and other correspondence
-Gifts. Process and document incoming gifts, manage gift acknowledgments, and produce donor letters on a consistent basis
-Reporting. Maintain program financial reports and prepare monthly progress updates, keep a constant pulse on organization’s giving trends, and create presentations as needed
-Support. Maintain donor database for accuracy and other duties as assigned
Experience:
- Knowledge of wills, trusts, and estate law is preferred
- Experience in social media management, including content creation and engagement strategies
- Strong computer skill with ability to learn new CRM systems
- Familiarity with nonprofit management principles and practices
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
