Job Description
The Development and Community Relations Manager is a key member of the administrative team that works together to achieve the mission of White Birch Center. The Development and Community Relations Manager is responsible for all fundraising and marketing initiatives and activities of the organization.
Essential Functions:include but are not limited to the following:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Directly responsible for the Development and implementation of the annual giving plan, including cultivating, maintaining relationships with new and existing donors, and supporters
- Compile, maintain and report on the annual giving campaign statistic, including donor gift size, participation, trends, opportunities for growth and challenges
- Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporation
- Create and execute a strategy for an expanded and sustainable base of annual individual donors.
- Manage data entry, gift processing and stewardship.
- Researching and writing grant proposals, track proposals, complete any reporting requirements
- Implements and coordinates all fundraising special events.
- Oversee organization and execution of special events
- Works directly with the Development and Community Relations Committee of the Board.
- Develop new funding sources with Board Support.
- Working with the Executive Director and senior leadership, initiates and coordinates communication strategies that will broaden awareness of the organization’s programs.
- Oversees the branding and messaging of the organization.
- Refine the organization’s core messages to ensure organizational consistency
- As a member of the senior management team, participates in strategic planning and budgeting initiatives.
- Remain current on all legislation and ethical practices pertaining to fundraising
- Identify significant media opportunities that can be leveraged to support the organization; oversee organizational response to inquiries on the organization
- Serve as executive editor for the organization’s website
- Write, edit and oversee production of organizations newsletters, brochures, and other printed materials
- Other tasks, as assigned by the Executive Director
Qualifications
BA required, 5+ years’ experience in fundraising and marketing in the nonprofit sector, knowledge of Wordpress (preferred), demonstrated excellence in organizational skills, significant communications experience that includes a blend of advocacy and media relations, ability to work as independently and as part of a team, and ability to work in a flexible work environment.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
