Description:
TEKsystems is partnering with a local client in the search for a Desktop Support Specialist to join their team in Milwaukee. The Desktop Support Specialist will be working with other end user Support Specialists within the company, while also supporting their internal end users.
The technician's role is to provide a single point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance within the company's desktop computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via email) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required.
Experience/great familiarity/Knowledge of conference room technology, Microsoft teams, other video conferencing technology is a requested. Specifying this type of experience will make you stand out compared to other candidates.
Additional qualifications are as follows:
•Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
•2-3 years' experience in personal computer service and repair required.
•Windows 10 experience required.
•Experience with various mobile device platforms including Android, iOS, and Windows.
•Excellent organizational, interpersonal relations, written and oral communication skills required.
•Strong customer service attitude.
•Work well under pressure, good problem solver, fast thinker.
•Team player.
•Ability to coordinate many issues/projects at once.
•Analytical, strong attention to detail.
