About the Job: Desktop Support Technician
The Desktop Support Technician will report to our Systems Administrator in an enterprise domain environment where you will provide support to employees to ensure they can use the equipment and technologies required to perform their duties. You will learn about supporting enterprise environments, including Active Directory, Office 365, and related technologies. Primary responsibilities include basic support and troubleshooting of software and systems, equipment troubleshooting and maintenance, installation of Windows and other software packages, setting up workstations, and managing inventory and software licenses.
Responsibilities
- Resolution of tier 1 support tickets (basic support and troubleshooting).
- Answering requests for assistance from internal employees through a ticketing system, phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Equipment maintenance and inventory.
- Installation of Windows and other software applications.
- Setting up workstations, peripherals, and other equipment as required.
- Creating all accounts for new users, including in Active Directory, RingCentral, Salesforce, Office 365, and other applications.
- Moving desks and furniture when required.
- Other General miscellaneous Tasks and Responsibilities that may fall under the Desktop Support umbrella.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university is preferred.
- Accurate typing speeds of 50+ WPM.
- High attention to detail
- High sense of urgency and a roll up your sleeves attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of desktop computers (Windows installation and troubleshooting, hardware installation and diagnosis).
- Basics of networking (TCP/IP, subnets, VLANs, DNS).
- High technical proficiency with Windows operating systems, including Windows 10 and Windows 11.
