Certified Medical Assistant

• Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone
• Must possess ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish
• Quickly answering or properly referring questions and issues
• Notifying provider of patient arrivals
• Comforting patients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering questions
• Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records
• Recording patients' vital signs, documenting physicians' notes and changes in medical conditions
• Taking fluid samples and sending them in for laboratory analysis
• Administering newborn PKU blood test
• Prepping exam rooms for clinical procedures
• Assisting physician during routine checkups, outpatient procedures and other physical exams
• Monitoring and documenting patient symptoms for physicians' review during clinical exams
• Providing compassionate patient support and care, attention and assistance during office visits
• Preparing and administering medications under the direction of supervising physician
• Documenting patients' medical information, including medical history and health insurance information
• Performing data entry tasks to document patient records within facility databases and maintaining patient files
• Performing data entry tasks for immunization record keeping to the State

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
