Job Title: Deskside Technician
Location: 780 Brookside Drive Austin Tx
Duration: 12+Months
Job Purpose
- Provide the infrastructure support needed to ensure that computer and telecommunications systems and networks are stable and reliable. Assist with network planning and implementation supporting current and future needs. Provides technical support for computers and associated network (voice and data).
Key Responsibilities
- Hardware setup and support
- Client software installation and configuration per corporate standards
- Ongoing user support as required at a basic to moderate complexity level.
- Configure, interconnect and maintain PCs, computer terminals, bar code devices and printers.
- Fault isolation and repair of basic to moderately complex network and peripheral hardware components.
- Coordinate equipment repairs with service providers
- Assists local and remote user base with any and all computer related information.
- Test and implement any new technologies to be implemented.
- Administer corporate phone/voice mail systems
- Program phone and voice mail systems to support corporate or user needs.
- Monitor phone lines. Implement alternatives when line issues occur and coordinate repairs with service vendors
- Recommend and install all phone related equipment.
- Maintain all system logs.
- Provide training and support as necessary.
- Maintain the call accounting systems.
- Coordinate equipment repairs with service providers.
- Provide on-call support through after hours answering service.
- Coordinate relocation activities with facilities department
- Monitor Track-It Help Desk Queue, taking ownership of support calls.
Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
Qualifications
- AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 3 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of Servicenow help desk que. Microsoft Teams and Office 365 and using it with Teams one touch.
- Ricoh multi-function device. Basic troubleshooting.
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
