Description: The Information Support Specialist will provide front-line technical support of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and audio video equipment for Client Vance users in the Washington DC office, and remote assistance to all Client Vance users. The Information Technology Specialist will work closely with various technology products from design to regular support, repair and upkeep. This position is responsible for managing the ticket system, which includes tracking and coordinating the resolution of user requests and issues, routine reporting and charting of Help Desk statistics. It is crucial that this person has excellent problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills since they will be the main touch point and first point of contact for all clients. The Information Technology Specialist is always learning the changing IT landscape and must have a thorough understanding of the technology service catalog. It is not uncommon for the individual to train other employees.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all End User requests for the Washington DC office
- Assist the Help Desk team with incidents and requests tickets from all offices. Meet call metrics and service levels goals assigned to the Help Desk Team B. Meet ticket metrics and service levels goals assigned to the Help Desk Team
- Maintain, manage, and troubleshoot computer systems for performance and security related issues
- Provide frontline computer troubleshooting / problem resolution
- Provide computer troubleshooting / problem resolution support to remote users
- Provide assistance with audio video and conference room setup and support
- Coordinate and/or the set-up of data services, as well as phone, computer, and printer installation
- Coordinate the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all information technology products
- Coordinate and/or execute the setup of network connectivity (LAN or WLAN)
- Process system and file access requests
- Perform administrative duties (ordering supplies, receiving of equipment, and performing inventories)
- Assist in process and documentation improvements
- First responder for IT services for the Washington DC office
- Provide technology usage training to employees
- Participates on a rotating on call coverage
- Perform other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates degree or 2 years of college in IT related field
- 3-5 years of technical experience supporting hardware and software in multi-user networked environment
- Must be personable, have a customer-friendly attitude and have the ability to work in a team environment
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office client applications
- Strong communication skills are required
- An ability to prioritize and organize work effectively
- An ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Excellent investigative and problem-solving abilities
- Must be self-motivated and able to work without supervision
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $53.00 per hour
